What we store

Linen stores only what you choose to publish: your name, headline, bio, phone, email, website, links (and any pictures you add to them) and photo, a preview picture of your card for when your link is shared, and with Linen Pro your page's design and background picture. It is shown publicly on your page, for example linen.cards/yourname, so anyone with the link can see it. We also store a scrambled (hashed) copy of a random key your phone creates, so that only you can change your page.

Linen Pro

When you subscribe, the app sends our server the App Store's record of your subscription. We ask Apple whether it's active, and keep its transaction number and end date with your scrambled key, so your pages can leave off “Made with Linen” and show your design. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your payment details or your Apple Account. If Linen Pro ends, your first card's page goes back to the Linen look, and your other pages are paused until you subscribe again. Nothing is deleted: their designs and details stay saved.

Views and saves

We count how many times each page is opened and its contact saved, by the hour, so you can see the totals in the app with Linen Pro. The counts are just numbers: nothing about who looked is kept with them. Link previews and robots aren't counted.

Details people send you

If you turn on the contact form for a card, people who visit your page can send you their name, a phone number or email address, and a note. We keep what they send only until your Linen app collects it, usually the next time you open it, and delete it after 30 days if it's never collected. From then on it's only on your phone. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out robots, which checks the visitor's browser.

If you sent your details through someone's page, they went to that person, and Linen keeps no copy once they're delivered. To have them removed, ask that person, or email us before then.

Apple Wallet

When you add your card to Apple Wallet, our server makes the pass from your page's details and your photo, and doesn't keep a copy.

What we don't collect

• No accounts, passwords or sign-in.
• No advertising, and no tracking across apps or websites.
• No access to your contacts, location or camera. Save to Contacts uses Apple's own screen.

Anything you haven't published stays on your phone.

Where it's stored

Pages, pictures, counts and waiting details are hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as IP addresses to keep the service secure and working. Fonts on your page come from linen.cards too, not from a font service. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.

Search engines

We ask search engines not to index your page. People you share it with can still save your contact details, and their copy is theirs to keep.

Deleting your page

In the app, open the ••• menu and tap Delete Card. Your information, including any pictures, its counts and any details waiting for you, is removed from our servers right away. Your link is freed too, so someone else could choose it later, and links you've already handed out would then go to their page. (In Linen 1.0, the link instead stays reserved to you.)

Acceptable use

Don't publish anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, misleading, or that impersonates someone else. We remove pages that break these rules.

Report a page or contact us

Email hello@linen.cards with the page link and what's wrong. We review every report.

Children

Linen is not intended for children under 13.
